Welcome to Neil Patrick Celebrancy, creating meaningful Weddings, Funerals, and Naming Ceremonies with care and compassion, tailored to your unique story.
Creating cherished moments that say “I Do” in a personalised way, bringing your love story to life.
Honouring lives with poignant ceremonies, ensuring every farewell resonates with love and remembrance.
Celebrating your new beginnings with joyous naming ceremonies that honour your child’s unique journey.
When I am entrusted with writing and performing ceremonies for those most treasured of moments, it is both an honour and a privilege. Each and every life story is unique and my uplifting and bespoke ceremonies aim to reflect that.
A life in the performing arts has allowed me to develop story telling skills that help capture the essence of what makes a couple who they are, or what made a loved one as treasured as they were. A specially scripted ceremony, delivered with feeling can resonate with the guests in a way that a series of generic platitudes simply can’t. My goal is to leave all guests with warm feelings, treasured memories and glad hearts.
All ceremonies can be crafted with or without live musical tributes, but what is non-negotiable is that every ceremony will be endowed with just the right levels of humour, solemnity, heart and soul. As a trained actor, I can also cater for those who would like a themed or costumed ceremony.
I’m based in Brentwood, Essex but can all cover all southeastern counties and London or further afield with fees reflective of any additional travel costs. Any questions, please just give me a shout and I’ll help in any way I can.
Best Wishes
Everyone loves wedding. Make the big day all the more special with a unique ceremony lovingly crafted and based solely around you and your story. Celebrant led ceremonies are 100% bespoke. We will have an initial meeting and then in the lead up to the wedding day itself, there will be periodic get togethers to ensure we are still all on the same page and nothing has been missed or left to chance.
Marriage is an institution steeped in history and tradition, but society is finally waking up to the fact that any couple is far more than just a sum of its parts. It is two unique people, becoming one, wonderfully unique couple. You are not an ‘off the peg’ couple, so why settle for an ‘off the peg’ wedding?
Live musical tributes are very much optional but can add an extra dash of glitz to the day and of course, the choice of music is entirely up to you. Live instrumentalists can be booked in addition to live vocals, but additional charges will apply.

I’m here to bring your vision to life. As a themed wedding celebrant, I can dress in costumes that match your chosen theme, creating an immersive and personalised experience for you and your guests. From classic elegance to playful creativity, your wedding should reflect who you are as a couple. Let’s work together to craft a ceremony that is as distinctive and memorable as your love story.
Each and every life lived is a new and unheard story just waiting to be told. Life is never linear, it has it’s share of thrills and spills, love and laughter, triumphs and tragedies.
My funerals, memorials and celebrations of life are devised and delivered with the just the right balance of humour, solemnity and celebration. They are respectful and inclusive and will allow everyone in attendance to feel part of the story, whatever their own personal beliefs.
The live music option could nourish the feelings of love and belonging in a way that words alone seldom can. Personal dedications are of course always warmly welcomed.
Live instrumentalists can be incorporated into the ceremony, but will be subject to an additional fee.

The arrival of a new baby is a time of heart bursting pride, an awesome sense of awakening and responsibility and of course some sleepless nights along the way.
Why keep it all to yourself? As with all my ceremonies, my naming’s are built upon a non-religious framework, but cultural, spiritual or religious elements can be incorporated upon request.
Rest assured, they will fully inclusive, engaging and welcoming and a joyous way to introduce your beautiful bundle of joy to the big wide world.
No child will ever suffer from too much love!

Charlotte Goldberg7 October 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Neil has recently conducted a beautiful memorial service for my dad who has just passed away. I couldn’t recommend Neil enough, he was so caring professional and delivered an outstanding service he really did capture my dads personality. we had so many people who thought Neil knew him. he got it just right and went above and beyond for us to say goodbye to my dad. Neil also sung as guests were arriving and after the service which was just such a lovely touch annd everyone enjoyed. The service was perfect and I will be forever grateful for Neil making it such a lovely send off with his compassion and understanding. Anisoara Platon2 October 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. For our 25th wedding anniversary we decided to do something different than usual for us (we are Orthodox, so the initial idea was to have a priest). But then we discovered Neil and, in all honesty, we didn’t even know that such a service was possible. It was the best decision we could have ever made. Neil made our day very special and emotional, not only for us but for the guests as well. We had some meetings before, so he could find out our story, the specific things about what we like and dislike about each other, and it was really emotional. He sent us back in time, to the beginning of our relationship, and it was wonderful. Our story hasn’t had anything sensational, so we were afraid that people might be bored listening to how we met and everything. But when Neil started to speak, we were fascinated by how he managed to extract exactly the best bits, how he managed to take people from laughter to tears, and back again. I felt like he knew us from the beginning, like he was with us through it all — that’s how well he told our story. He organised everything so beautifully: he knew the perfect moment to include our son’s speech, our vows, and how to involve everyone in our story. (The interactive part with the guests was a really beautiful surprise that they didn’t expect.) We are so happy with how our 25th wedding anniversary ended up and we know for sure that we've made the best choice with Neil. Because for him is not just a business, he has a mission to make things perfectly and to make the day memorable. Even our guests were so impressed with the ceremony that they decided to book him. Neil, thank you is just not enough. Ana &Florin Luke Stacey9 September 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Neil was the celebrant at our wedding and both my Wife and I could not have been happier with not only the process but the ceremony that Neil orchestrated for us! It was perfect and personalised to how we wanted it. We were a bit nervous in the months leading up to the wedding but Neil has a calm and reassuring character. We met with him via video call first then in person to go through the details. There was then a small iterative process whereby we reviewed the script and suggested a few (very small!) changes before signing it off. Neil was extremely patient with our busy lives which often meant he had to nudge us to provide information but he assured everything was complete in time ready for the big day. He handled the process from start to finish and we were glad someone with his professionalism and experience was leading the way, we both felt very comfortable and confident on the day. We both would highly recommend Neil. Mike Bowyer9 August 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Neil was the celebrant for our 45th wedding anniversary party / vow renewal ceremony and, quite simply, he was outstanding in every aspect of the role. Neil visited us four times in the weeks leading up to the event to build up a picture of the story he would tell. He guided and advised us throughout and he was always very relaxed and easy to talk to. He prompted us with questions about our relationship, including how we met, what adventures we'd had, stories about our children, notable excellent happenings / notable calamitous happenings and if there were any songs that told our story. We were asked to provide him with our own individual answers to a few other questions which was quite intriguing and interesting. He even came to see us on the morning of the event because we had a couple of questions about the order of to the "service" and there were some dedications we wanted to add into it. I offered to take care of this on the phone but he wanted to see us face-to-face and give us a rundown of where the new speeches would fit best without interrupting the flow. He even told us that he would ensure that the barman we had hired would know exactly when to open the champagne and fill the glasses. He returned in good time to set up his comprehensive PA system and played some background music whilst the guests arrived. The service itself was perfect. The story he told about us was very funny and also sentimental in all the right places. There were several laugh out loud moments but we also had several people telling us afterwards that there were lots of people who found it very emotional. Two of our three adult children were invited up to the stage to tell their stories about us because Neil had contacted them directly to discuss this. After our vows, my wife and I invited our grandchildren up to take part in "handfasting" with us. This is where couples and invited family members bind their hands with silk bands symbolizing their commitment and binding their lives together. This was very moving and we will be framing the resulting band. Finally, Neil asked all of our friends to join us in a sing along. He was influential in making the event very special indeed, not just for my wife and me, but also for the friends and family that we had invited. Leah Haskoylu30 June 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Neil really captured my late brother David's character and delicately handled some of the difficult recent years so well. My mother was so lost after losing David. Having an unattended cremation exacerbated this feeling of emptiness even more so. That David had - quite literally - disappeared with no mark on the world. Neil's beautifully put together eulogy at a Celebration of David's Life allowed all of us to remember and enjoy the good in David. My mother needed this desperately. She needed to look around a room and see people who knew him and cared for him nodding, and smiling, and laughing - and eye rolling! Neil brought him to life for her, for all of us - and has left her with those positive thoughts. I honestly dont believe my Mum could have endured a funeral for David. I think it would have destroyed her and added to her pain. Today, was the biggest gift we could have given her, and it is thanks to Neil. Kim Dallison9 June 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We cannot praise Neil highly enough ; he made what was potentially an ordeal much more bearable . He met with us at our home shortly after my father passed away and took almost two and a half hours making notes and forming an impression of my dad and his quite considerable ( he was ninety four ) life . He sent us a draft of what he was going to say during his eulogy and made just a couple of adjustments without any fuss . On the day of the funeral he acted with professionalism and kindness , putting us all at our ease . He spoke so warmly and with such compassion that a couple of mourners thought he was a family friend . We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his services and would definitely use him again, hopefully in a happier capacity next time . The Dallison family . Kent. Gordon Curran19 May 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Neil was the Celebrant for my Mum’s funeral just recently and provided a very beautiful and memorable service. From our first meeting he was able to put us at ease in what was an emotional and difficult time. Neil guided us through it all with great kindness & compassion and was always on hand if we needed him. We thank him for everything he did and for helping to give our wonderful Mum a send off to remember. Gill Lothian23 March 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently lost our husband/dad and, from the first time he came to visit us one evening and all the way from Essex to the Kent/East Sussex border, Neil was nothing other than caring and completely understand the type of eulogy that we wanted. On the day of the funeral he was very professional and conducted the service in exactly the upbeat way that we had hoped which helped make it a day of happy memories. We would have no hesitation in recommending Neil. If he can do such a fantastic job at conducting a funeral, his weddings must be amazing! Thank you Neil chloe Waygood22 March 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was a pleasure to meet Neil and have him to support our family at a very difficult time. Neil helped us to put together a great service to remember my Dad, thoughtful, kind, compassionate and at times lighthearted, which is just how Dad would have wanted it. Neil listened so carefully to our stories and wishes for the day and created a lovely ceremony to remember my Dad. Many people commented on the service and some thought Neil was a family friend- a highest compliment. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Neil he truly is a wonderful celebrant.Load moreVerified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
